Pasadena man arrested after alleged convenience store robberies

A 36-year-old Pasadena, Maryland, man is behind bars after his arrest for allegedly robbing three convenience stores in the Anne Arundel area. Authorities have charged the man with robbery, firearm use in commission of a violent felony, armed robbery, theft, assault, reckless endangerment and making false statements to an officer.

The charges stem from a series of robberies that began on Sunday around 1 a.m. on May 4, when the man walked into a 7-Eleven on Mountain Road in Pasadena. He allegedly took out a handgun and held it on an employee in the store before taking money out of the cash register.

Around 5:30 p.m., the man then allegedly held up another convenience store called Luckie's, which is situated in the Glen Burnie area on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard. A third robbery was later reported around 2 a.m. on Monday at another 7-Eleven in Pasadena located on Fort Smallwood Road.

According to police, an older model black Ford Explorer or Ford Expedition was used as the getaway vehicle in each of the three robberies. During a subsequent search of the area after the third robbery, police located a black Ford Expedition reportedly belonging to the man. After stopping the man in his vehicle, police were able to ascertain that he reportedly matched the description of the armed robber of the convenience stores. A search of his vehicle then allegedly produced items that police say connected the man with the robberies.

Violent crimes such as armed robbery can lead to a lengthy prison sentence if a defendant is convicted. An experienced Maryland criminal attorney could work with a defendant to help ensure that he or she is treated fairly by the court system.
