A 26-year-old Forestville man is facing drug charges for the second time in one week. The charges stemmed from two separate incidents in which the police allegedly found drugs in the man’s underwear two different times during the same week.

According to police records, on March 24, 2013, the man was riding in the backseat of a Buick as a passenger in the vicinity of Maryland routes 80 and 85 when deputies pulled the driver of the vehicle over after deputies performed a registration check on the vehicle that showed the license plates of the car were suspended. A subsequent identification check on the man showed that he was wanted on an outstanding warrant. The man was then transported for a medical evaluation to the Frederick Memorial Hospital. There, deputies allegedly discovered seven bags of marijuana in a larger bag that was stitched to the man’s underwear. Upon his release from the hospital, the man was then escorted to jail where he was later released on $10,000 bail.

On March 30, the man was arrested on alleged drug charges once again after the Frederick Police Department was notified by a homeowner that the man was trespassing on the owner’s property. Since there was a prior complaint for trespassing, police were dispatched to the scene and the man was located a short time later at a drug store where he was arrested and taken back to the police station for a strip-search after the arresting officer reported that the man was emitting an odor that allegedly smelled like PCP.

According to court records, officers reported finding six small bags of marijuana in the man’s underwear along with another bag that allegedly contained more drugs in the man’s pants. The man was then taken to the Frederick County Detention Center where he remains behind bars on $35,000 bail.

An experienced Maryland criminal attorney may be able to assist defendants that are facing drug charges such as drug possession for carrying marijuana.
