Maryland man accused of armed robbery and auto theft

A Baltimore man who was already in police custody after being accused of auto theft is now facing additional criminal charges. According to a spokesman for the Baltimore County Police Department, the 19-year-old man allegedly confessed to participating in an armed robbery that occurred on Aug. 13 before the alleged auto theft incident.

Maryland couple charged in relation to heroin possession

According to the Kent County Narcotics Task Force, two individuals from Chestertown, a 23-year old man and woman, were taken into custody after heroin was allegedly discovered on their property. A variety of law enforcement agencies were involved, including the Chestertown Police Department's Special Response Unit, the Kent County Sheriff's Office and the Maryland State Police. Law enforcement executed a a knock and announce warrant on Georgetown Road at approximately 5 a.m. on Sept. 18.

Maryland delegate alters story of beating and robbery 

A Prince George's County delegate was allegedly the victim of an assault at around 3 a.m. on Sept. 1. An initial police charging document confirmed witnesses' claims that the victim was found with no shirt and a bloody lip following an alleged beating and robbery at a Largo condominium.

Three men sentenced in Baltimore shooting

Three Maryland men have been convicted in a shooting that took place in Baltimore. The Baltimore City Circuit Court handed all three men prison sentences of varied lengths for their alleged roles in the shooting. The longest prison sentence given to the three men was 50 years. Authorities say the violent crime left one man paralyzed from the waist down.

Maryland man detained following alleged Office Depot theft

On Sept. 3, a 51-year-old security guard was allegedly robbed after trying to recover stolen merchandise for an Office Depot store. The security guard had been following a man who he believed robbed the store. The security guard apparently confronted the individual and tried to make an emergency 911 call, but the accused man allegedly knocked him down and took his cell phone.

Maryland man accused of stealing car, driving without license

A routine traffic stop resulted in a Maryland man being taken into police custody on Sept. 8 in the Pasadena area, according to Anne Arundel County Police. The man was allegedly driving a stolen vehicle at the time of the traffic stop.

Maryland man exchanges five-year sentence for Alford plea

A Maryland man was sentenced to five years in jail after entering an Alford plea to theft and obstruction of justice charges on Sept. 5. The man was charged with theft from a handicapped retired veteran after he was hired to do work around the veteran's house. Not only was the work not completed, but tools were also stolen from the veteran.

Maryland man gets life sentence for dealing heroin

A 47-year-old Baltimore man was sentenced to life in prison after being convicted on drug charges by a U.S. District court judge in Maryland. The judge used the three strikes sentencing guidelines to determine the severity of the sentence. The defendant had been convicted on similar drug charges two times in the past before the current drug charges were brought against him.
