A 22-year-old man and his 29-year-old accomplice are in custody and facing theft charges after a three-week investigation by the State Police Criminal Enforcement Division. The 22-year-old faces theft charges between $1,000 and under $10,000, along with fourth-degree burglary and second-degree burglary.

Maryland man faces charges in stabbing death of cleaning worker

A 25-year-old Pasadena, Maryland, man is facing multiple charges, including first degree assault, second degree assault, reckless endangerment and second degree murder in the stabbing death of the owner of a cleaning business. The 43-year-old woman had reportedly been cleaning in a medical office in Glen Burnie and was discovered Monday, May 12 by an employee who had arrived to open a gynecologist's office located at the Medical Arts Centre on Hospital Drive.

Maryland man accused of allegedly raping 14-year-old daughter

A 38-year-old Maryland man has been charged with multiple sex crimes for the alleged rape of his 14-year-old daughter. The charges against the man include sexual abuse of a minor, second-degree assault, third and fourth degree sex offense and second degree rape.

Maryland official faces charges over theft of campaign signs

The Maryland Commissioner of Labor and Industry, J. Ronald DeJuliis and two campaign volunteers are facing misdemeanor charges of theft under $1,000 for their part in an alleged theft of campaign signs that were placed on private property near a busy intersection. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on May 10 when the three men allegedly disassembled and removed the signs of an opponent who is running against the wife of DeJuliis.

Maryland man arrested for child pornography free on $50,000 bond

A 21-year-old man from Berlin, Maryland, is facing multiple sex crime charges including six counts of distribution of child pornography and six counts of possession of child pornography. The man has also been charged with one count of obscene matter with the intent to distribute.

Pasadena man arrested after alleged convenience store robberies

A 36-year-old Pasadena, Maryland, man is behind bars after his arrest for allegedly robbing three convenience stores in the Anne Arundel area. Authorities have charged the man with robbery, firearm use in commission of a violent felony, armed robbery, theft, assault, reckless endangerment and making false statements to an officer.

Alleged Baltimore drug dealer pleads guilty to murder

A 30-year-old Baltimore man who was charged for the alleged murder of a 40-year-old Maryland man has pleaded guilty to first-degree felony murder. The charges stemmed from an incident back in 2011 in which the man and his 29-year-old accomplice allegedly broke into the victim's apartment. They allegedly planned to talk to the man about an attempted robbery that had reportedly occurred while they were in the apartment building earlier during the night.

Retired Silver Spring doctor charged for alleged molestations

An 83-year-old Silver Spring retired pediatrician has been charged with 12 counts of the alleged molestation of three of his relatives dating back from 1964 through 1982. Charges include sex offense and perverted sex practice, as well as child abuse. According to court documents, an investigation into the alleged molestation acts began on Feb. 21, after three female relatives of the retired doctor contacted the Montgomery police to report the alleged abuse.

Maryland swim coach faces charges for alleged sex acts with minor

A 53-year-old Maryland man who worked as a swim coach and has operated a swim club at the municipal pool in Laurel for the last three summers remains behind bars in Montgomery County for sexual offense charges.
