The man reportedly entered the home armed with a weapon and assaulted the maid. He reportedly left the scene in a car owned by one of the residents.
A Stevensville man allegedly driving while intoxicated ran into an Ocean City municipal vehicle bus on June 2. According to Ocean City police, the man is accused of running a stop sign before colliding with a municipal bus. He is also accused of fleeing the scene after the accident.
A 26-year-old resident of Chesterfield is facing charges of possession of heroin with the intent to distribute. The Kent County Narcotics Task Force conducted a search and seizure of the Maryland resident's home in coordination with the local police department and reportedly discovered five bags of what they believe to be heroin as well as drug paraphernalia. The man is being held at the Kent County Detention Center with bail set at $1 million.
A 37-year-old man the FBI once deemed one of the most dangerous people in Washington D.C. has been sentenced to 22 years in a federal penitentiary. U.S. Attorneys expressed their satisfaction that the defendant will no longer be free to traffic in narcotics in Maryland and the District.
On May 14, United States district judge for the District of Maryland sentenced a 48-year-old Maryland resident on child pornography charges. The man will serve six years of imprisonment followed by 10 years of parole. The judge also ordered that he register as a sex offender where he lives, works and goes to school following his release from prison, based on the federal Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act.
